“What a debut” Suryakumar Yadav praises Angkrish Raghuvanshi after 18-YO smashes a 25-ball 50 vs DC

Angkrish Raghuvanshi announced himself on the biggest stage of cricket with a blistering knock on his debut for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) against the Delhi Capitals (DC). The 18-year-old took the DC bowling attack by storm, smashing a scintillating 54 runs off just 25 balls.

Following Raghuvanshi’s impressive debut, the Indian cricketing world took notice. Star Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav, known for his aggressive batting style himself, took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) to praise the youngster.

Yadav wrote, “What a debut Angkrish Raghuvanshi.” This recognition from a player of Suryakumar Yadav’s caliber is a testament to the talent and potential Raghuvanshi possesses.

Raghuvanshi’s innings was a display of power and precision. He showcased a wide range of strokes, and didn’t bog down despite playing for the first time on as big a stage as IPL.

Suryakumar Yadav to return for MI

The National Cricket Academy (NCA) has finally given him the fitness clearance he needed, paving the way for his return to competitive cricket.

This is a massive boost for the Mumbai Indians, who haven’t had the strongest start to their IPL campaign, losing all their first three games. Yadav’s return brings back a proven match-winner to the batting line-up. In his 83 IPL innings for MI, the 33-year-old has hammered 2,641 runs at a superb strike rate of 146.23.
