ENG vs WI: With just a week left before the start of the India tour of the West Indies, West Indies Cricket has announced that they will return to England in July 2024 for a three-match Test series. The series will see both sides fight for the Richards-Botham Trophy, named after two legends of the game, Sir Vivian Richards and Ian Botham.
The announcement also comes after the shocking news of the West Indies being disqualified from the World Cup 2023 in India. The West Indies, who are two-time champions, will miss their first-ever ODI World Cup after defeats at the hands of Zimbabwe, the Netherlands, and Scotland in the World Cup 2023 Qualifiers.
The West Indies last toured England in March 2020. The three-match series started well for the touring side, as they beat England by four wickets and led the series 1-0 before going to Old Trafford, Manchester. The series, which was being played during the COVID pandemic, was ultimately won by England 2-1, as they beat the Windies convincingly in the second and third tests by 113 and 269 runs, respectively.

This time, however, the series is scheduled to take place in July on three separate grounds.
