Deepti Sharma is confident that the Indian women’s team could end its winning streak against Australia in the third ODI match at Wankhede Stadium on 2 January.
India have lost the previous two ODI matches as Aussies have won the series. India now has one motive in the final ODI to end Australia’s winning streak.
“Look, winning and losing is a part of the game, but we have improved as a team be it as a bowling unit or batting. We will try to break their winning streak as soon as possible,” Deepti said before India’s training session.
India faced a defeat in the second ODI match in a close encounter where they lost the match by 3 runs. Deepti believes that Team India have the ability to beat Aussies.
“There have been a lot of improvements. Earlier, whenever we would play against Australia the games never used to go that close. This is one positive (from the last match) that we are able to take it till the end,” she added.
India had won their first Test match against Australia in the one-off Test by eight runs at Wankhede.
