‘We haven’t played our best’: Captain Faf du Plessis reflects on RCB’s performance ahead of RR clash

RR and RCB have met each other in 30 IPL matches. Out of these 30 games, Bangaluru has won 15 while Rajasthan has won 12 times

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will look for a way to end their woes as they face Rajasthan Royals.RCB are eighth in IPL 2024, with two points from four games. RCB’s batting order has lacking form and consistency this season, causing them to face the same challenges. Speaking on the same ahead of the RR vs RCB game, captain Faf du Plessis acknowledged the lack of form from the outfit and relayed to do better.

“I feel we haven’t played at our best. It’s a case of trusting guys and it’s a matter of time before things click. We’ve been inconsistent and hope to improve tonight. It’s important for guys to give roles they feel is their strongest entry point. It’s not worked out yet but it’s not due to positions, ” said Faf.

While Virat Kohli has fired and leads the Orange Cap race, but hasn’t been well-supported by his teammates. Other than Kohli, Dinesh Karthik has been the other in-form batter for RCB as they are in dire straits right now.

RCB has also yet to decide their bowling plan. Dropping Vyshak Kumar in their previous match proved expensive, as they lost to the Lucknow Super Giants. Mohammed Siraj and Mayank Dagar have also struggled for consistency.
