England fast bowler Ollie Robinson reflected that the 4-1 Test series loss against India did not accurately reflect their performance during the tour. Despite starting the series with a win in Hyderabad, England faced setbacks as India rallied to win the remaining four Tests.
Ollie Robinson, who played one Test in the series without taking any wickets, lamented missed opportunities, including a dropped catch in the fourth Test. He felt that the final scoreline of 4-1 was not a fair representation of England’s efforts, suggesting that on another occasion, the series result could have been 3-2 in their favour.
We were really close to reversing that result. Obviously, a catch I dropped in the fourth Test would have helped us but, no, we feel like 4-1 was undeserved really.”
“We played some really good cricket and maybe on another tour it could have been 3-2 to us, who knows?” Robinson told on Sky Sports.

Robinson remains positive on Bazball despite loss:
Despite the disappointments, Robinson remains optimistic about England’s future under coach Brendon McCullum’s aggressive approach. He believes that England’s style of play is exciting for fans and has the potential to elevate them to the top of international cricket.
Despite their current rankings, Robinson believes England is on the cusp of greatness and only requires minor improvements to dominate world cricket.
“I think we’re really close to being the best in the world, to be honest. A few one percenters here and there and we can really dominate the world of cricket.” added Robinson.
The team’s next challenges include a T20I series against Pakistan followed by the T20 World Cup in June and a Test series against the West Indies in July.
