WC 2023 Qualifiers LIVE: The last day of the Group Stage matches of the ongoing World Cup 2023 Qualifiers saw Sri Lanka beat Scotland comfortably by 82 runs to end the Group Stage undefeated and finish as the table toppers in Group B. On the other hand, Ireland and the UAE ended their forgettable runs in the tournament, as Ireland managed to eek out a win and end their campaign with a win.
Sri Lanka vs Scotland
Sri Lanka ended the Group Stage undefeated and will carry four points going into the Super Sixes. The Dusan Shanaka-led side has dominated each side they have played so far in the tournament. They beat UAE by 175 runs in their first game, took down Oman by chasing the target in just 15 overs, decimated Ireland by 133 runs in their third game, and have now comfortably beaten Scotland by 82 runs.
Scotland had come into their final Group Stage match undefeated but were handed a defeat by a superior Sri Lankan bowling lineup. Scotland now enters the Super Sixes stage ranked third with two points on the board and just behind Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, two teams that are undefeated in the tournament so far.

Ireland vs United Arab Emirates
The final game of the Group Stage saw Ireland get their first win of the tournament over the United Arab Emirates. UAE ended their tournament by losing all four of their matches. With no chance left to qualify for the Super Sixes, the two sides were facing each other for a consolation win. Paul Stirling was awarded the man of the match award for his 134-ball 162 and was aptly supported by Harry Tector with the bat. For UAE, no batter was even able to cross the 50-run mark as they lost by 138 runs.
