India women’s cricket team stars Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma were among the first round picks in Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL 2024) draft on Sunday. Deepti Sharma, who was the fourth pick, was drafte to Melbourne Stars. Jemimah was drafted to Brisbane Heat and was the seventh player to be picked.

Alongside Jemimah and Deepti, Shikha Pandey was the third Indian player to be drafted. She will play for Brisbane Heat in the upcoming edition. Hemalatha Dayalan was the first pick in the third round of the draft, going to Perth Scorchers.
