After departing for a duck in the 1st innings against Somerset, Zak Crawley went on to score a double-ton in the second innings

England opener Zak Crawley’s desperate attempt to get to his century ended in a hilarious failure during a County cricket match. The Kent opener was on 99 runs when the bowler sent the ball bouncing off the pitch while he bowled the delivery. In an attempt to take a single, Crawley chased the ball outside the pitch and then smashed it to take a single. However, the umpires had the last laugh as the deemed the ball dead, sending Crawley back on to 99.

After departing for a duck in the 1st innings against Somerset, Zak Crawley went on to score a double-ton in the second innings. The England opener ended his knock on 238 runs, smashing 31 fours and 4 sixes en route. Despite his attempt, Somerset won the game by 8 wickets.
