Ahead of the World Cup, former South Africa pacer Dale Steyn has advised India Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma about Shaheen Afridi’s threat. While picking the top 5 fast bowlers heading into the tournament, Steyn heaped praises for the Pakistan speedster and he warned Rohit of the impending danger.
Earlier, Rohit Sharma claimed that Dale Steyn was the toughest bowler that he has faced in his career on the other hand, the Proteas veteran pacer too mentioned that facing difficulty while bowling to Sharma. But ahead of the mega tournament, Steyn gave a warning to the Men in Blue skipper to watch his pads while facing Shaheen Afridi.
The former South African pacer was tasked to pick his top 5 bowlers for the World Cup. Though Steyn left out Jasprit Bumrah, he included Mohammed Siraj. The other 4 bowlers included the likes of Shaheen Afridi, Kagiso Rabada, Trent Boult, and Mark Wood.

Rohit Sharma has been dismissed overall in all formats by Shaheen Afridi twice and only once in ODIs. Shaheen scalped Rohit in the first match of Asia Cup 2023 when India faced Pakistan. But it was a different outcome in the second match of the Asia Cup. The Indian skipper survived and will be looking to give a stern reply to Shaheen in the upcoming ICC World Cup.
