Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal returned to his ‘Jaisball’ form after a rare failure in the first innings as he brought up quickfire fifty on Day 3 of the IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot on Saturday.
After a cautious start, Jaiswal just went on T20 mode as he hit flurry of boundaries against both pace and spin. The young Indian opener also took on England’s veteran pacer James Anderson and hit him for three boundaries.
In the 27th over, Jaiswal welcomed the pacer with a hooked six over deep backward square leg. He then got lucky as his thick outside edge went over slip cordon to deep third for a boundary.
He then played a smashing pull shot behind square as India take 19 runs off Anderson’s over. The 22-year-old went on rampage and hit 8 more boundaries in next 5 overs to enter the 90s.
