The West Indies ‘A’ team that arrived in Nepal on Thursday was given an unusual welcome to say the least. The team from the Caribbean, who are missing quite a few key players due to IPL, arrived at the Kathmandu airport on Thursday. It was seen that Nepal had arranged a truck to carry the luggage of the West Indies players. Moreover, the bus given to the West Indies players was a normal tourist bus with no AC facilities.
West Indies will play a 5-match T20 series in Nepal starting on April 27. With quite a few players missing due to IPL, West Indies had named a weakened team which has some first team players nonetheless.
However, the West Indies players were utterly surprised by the arrangements made by Nepal for them. A truck was seen outside the airport with players loading their luggage on it. Some of the players looked surprised by the treatment, while some had a smirk on their faces. Moreover, they were given an ordinary bus which did not have air conditioning.
