Wasim Akram was seen having a lengthy chat with Babar Azam during rain break in IND vs PAK clash.

Pakistan legend Wasim Akram caught up with Pakistan skipper Babar Azam during the rain break in IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 clash on Sunday. The former Pakistan skipper was seen having a lengthy chat with the 28-year-old batter on the ground while groundtstaff was working to remove the water from pitch.

While it was great to see a Pakistan’s legend and modern interacting, fans were curious to know what was the conversation about.

Fans were quick to assume that Wasim Akram might talked about Pakistan’s bowling that looked flat before the rain interruption, and gave the Pakistan skipper few suggestion.

Notably, this is not the first time both personalities were caught having a chat.

Earlier this year, a video of Wasim Akram having an animated chat with Babar Azam went viral after Karachi Kings’ defeat against Multan Sultans in Pakistan Super League (PSL).

A clip from the sidelines saw an animated discussion between Wasim, the team’s mentor, and Azam even as the Multan’s chase was underway.

It has been a rain-affected Asia Cup 2023 so far. After IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 group stage match got washed out, their much-anticipated Super 4 clash also saw the same fate. However, with reserve day added for the clash, the play will resume on Monday. However, the weather forecast for the reserve day also suggests heavy rain throughout the day.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first, Indian openers Rohit Sharma (56) and Shubman Gill (58) got the team off to a splendid start, stitching a 121-run partnership.

Rohit eventually departed, falling to Shadab Khan in the 17th over. In the very next over, Shaheen Shah Afridi got rid of Gill. Virat Kohli (8) and KL Rahul (17) were looking to get set before rain came in with India’s score reading 147/2 in 24.1 overs.
