Virat Kohli shines at IND vs NZ

India’s star batter Virat Kohli surpassed legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar to become the player with the most number of 50+ scores in a single edition of Cricket World Cup.

Kohli scored his 8th fifty plus score in the ongoing tournament, surpassing the Master Blaster who scored seven 50+ scores in the 2023 edition of the ODI World Cup.

7 – Sachin Tendulkar (2003)
7 – Shakib Al Hasan (2019)
6 – Rohit Sharma (2019)
6 – David Warner (2019)

Notably, the former Indian captain also became the player with most runs in a single World Cup edition. Kohli needed 80 runs to go past Sachin for most runs in a single edition of the tournament history.
