The Indian cricket team is currently in Bangalore, preparing for the upcoming 3-match Test series against New Zealand. Most members of the 15-man squad and the travelling reserves had already reached their destination, and today Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli joined the team as well. It turns out, apart from the most senior members of the squad, their old head coach Rahul Dravid also joined them in the nets at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Dravid resides in Bengaluru with his family and decided to meet the boys while they get ready for the Kiwi challenge which starts on October 16. Following the end of his Team India stint, Dravid has joined the Rajasthan Royals as their head coach for the IPL 2025 season. He was present at their High Performance Centre in Nagpur earlier in the month and even helped Sanju Samson prepare for the India vs Bangladesh T20Is.
Rahul Dravid chats with Rohit-Kohli
In the video, Dravid can be seen joking around with Kohli, Rohit and Pant. Now that he’s left the job, we got a glimpse of his more laid-back approach. During his tenure, the former Indian skipper was dialed in. Often writing notes during matches, irrespective of the situation of the match, and hardly, if ever showing any emotion.
