Crowd favorites Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma interacted with fans and paparazzi in the airport ahead of their departure to Alur for Asia Cup 2023 Camp on August 24. India will hold a five-day training camp before traveling to Sri Lanka to play all their Asia Cup games starting from September 2. Before departing for Alur fans requested Kohli and Rohit Sharma for selfies, and the duo obliged by happily posing in front of cameras.
Kohli aced casual look by donning a blue T-shirt and grey pants, while skipper Rohit looked uber cool by sporting a pink T-shirt and blue jeans. Before going to the airport, all the fans and paparazzi guys had only one request for Rohit Sharma & Co. to win Asia Cup. During the press conference, Rohit said he is looking forward to having a full squad for Continental Cup after a long time.
“There is the 5-day camp in Bengaluru. After a long time, we have had the opportunity to get all the players in for some skill-based training. We can rectify our weakness,” Rohit said.

Asia Cup 2023: Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli gear up Asia Cup, India to play first match against Pakistan
During the five-day camp, India will play a few practice games and keep a close tab on KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, who are returning from respective injuries. While there is still some doubt over Rahul’s full fitness, reports suggest that Shreyas is fully fit for Continental Cup after scoring 199 in a practice game at NCA.
Meanwhile, Kohli and Rohit themselves did have not much game time during West Indies series as head coach Rahul Dravid experimented with team combinations. However, in the Asia Cup, both are expected to play pivotal roles at the number at the top of the order.
