India achieved a historic 228-run victory over arch-rival Pakistan in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup. Setting a target of 357 runs, India managed to dismiss Pakistan for just 128 runs, which marked Pakistan’s third-lowest total against India. This win was India’s most significant margin of victory by runs against Pakistan.

Initially interrupted by bad weather on Sunday when Pakistan won the toss, the match extended to a reserve day and faced several rain delays, raising concerns about a no-result game. However, India’s bowlers performed admirably, managing to bowl out Pakistan in 32 overs.

Two injured Pakistani bowlers did not bat in the innings. Kuldeep Yadav excelled with a five-wicket haul, proving to be a formidable challenge for Pakistan with his left-arm wrist spin. In his eight overs, he conceded only 25 runs.

Kohli’s remarkable innings of 122 not out off 94 deliveries featured a series of record-breaking moments. He became only the fifth batter to cross the 13,000-run mark in ODIs. Impressively, he accomplished this milestone in just 267 innings.

Rohit Sharma & Co are set to face off against Sri Lanka at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo today, although rain could once again disrupt the game. It is anticipated that India will field the same team for this match.
