Watch: Virat Kohli, Hardik, Siraj cry uncontrollably after winning T20 World Cup

T20 World Cup: After 17 long years, India lift a World Cup as emotions run wild in Team India's camp

It is a dream come true moment for the Indian Cricket Team. The Men in Blue brought out their emotions to the fullest as India clinch the ICC T20 World Cup. But when the last ball of the over was bowled, the flood of emotions were broken as players started to cry. Be it Hardik Pandya or Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli, the entire Indian camp went to a state of euphoria in Barbados.

India knew that they had won the game before the last ball was bowled, provided Hardik didn’t bowl a no-ball or wide ball. 8 runs were needed from the last ball. Hardik bowled well as the Proteas could only take 1 run. And then the emotions took over.

Emotional Indian players celebrate World Cup win

The Indian support staff runs to the field while Hardik is down on his knees. The Indian vice captain was spotted howling and bawling like a little child. The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma went on to lay down flat on his back. He gets up shaking his head with a few tears on his eyes.

Virat Kohli is emotional and probably he too has a tear on his eyes. The departing head coach Rahul Dravid is on the field as he and Kohli share a long hug. Mohammed Siraj who hasn’t been a part of the Playing XI is uncontrollable in his tears. But the highlight moment takes place as Rohit and Kohli share a hug.

The Proteas team wait patiently to shake the hands. Rohit taking notice immediately informs his team to settle down. He walks with a brisk pace, still a bit emotional, looks up to the heavens, closes his eyes, probably for a silent prayer, folds his hands and then heaves a huge sigh of relief.
