India cricket team’s Virat Kohli had a warm and brief interaction with former cricketer Robin Uthappa ahead of the 1st IND vs SL ODI. The series marks the return of Kohli to the white-ball squad after his mini-vacation post India’s T20 World Cup win. In an exclusive video from Insidesport, Kohli is seen shaking hands with Uthappa and having a small conversation before proceeding to walk out of the field.
Virat Kolhi meets Uthappa ahead of 1st IND vs SL ODI
While Virat had a mediocre T20 World Cup 2024, he hit his straps when India needed him the most, i.e., in the final against the Proteas. The modern-day master is a true icon in ODIs and Sri Lanka would be wary of his threat. Rohit, meanwhile, has walked the talk.
He will put the opposition bowlers under pressure, maximize the powerplay and will ‘unselfishly’ put the team’s interest first. The ODIs will also be the first time Rohit-Kohli will work under head coach Gautam Gambhir, who took India to a 3-0 cleansweep in the T20Is.
