In a heart-warming gesture, Pakistan cricket team batter Babar Azam was seen sharing an adorable moment with Usman Khawaja’s daughter Aisha. Khawaja’s daughter was seen going up to Babar Azam and hugging him. Khawaja was there when Aisha hugged Babar. Both of Khawaja’s daughters had fun as the cricketers engaged in some rigorous training before the AUS vs PAK 2nd Test.
In the Boxing Day Test, Khawaja wore the names of both his daughters, Aisha and Ayla, on his shoes. From the first Test onwards, Khawaja has been in a tussle with the ICC. After ICC denied him wearing shoes with ‘All Lives Are Equal’ written on it, Khawaja protested by wearing a black armband. Thereafter, the ICC reprimanded him.
As far as Babar is concerned, he has had a tough time of late. After World Cup 2023 where Pakistan failed to make their way through to the semis, the 29-year-old stepped down as the national skipper across all three formats. In the first Test in Perth, Babar got out cheaply as Pakistan lost to Australia by a mammoth margin of 360 runs and conceded a 0-1 lead to the opposition.
