Varma, who made his T20I debut in the first match of the series, had impressed with his 39-run cameo in a losing cause. Tilak surpasses Rishabh Pant

Varma’s half-century is also a record-breaking feat, as he became the second youngest Indian to score a fifty in T20Is. He surpassed wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant, who had scored his maiden T20I fifty at the age of 21 years and 138 days. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma still holds the record for being the youngest Indian to score a fifty at the age of 20 years and 143 days.
