Team India will take on South Africa in the first of the three ODI matches on Sunday (December 17) at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Ahead of the series, KL Rahul and Co. conducted a practice session in Johannesburg before the opening clash.
After India’s World Cup 2023 Final debacle, this is the first ODI game the Men in Blue will be playing. India already drew the T20I series 1-1 with South Africa and will play two Tests after the conclusion of the ODI series.
The visitors don’t have their permanent ODI skipper Rohit Sharma in the upcoming series and KL Rahul will be leading the Indian contingent. Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah are also available for the series. As a result, several young players including the likes of Rinku Singh, Sanju Sampson, Tilak Verma, and Ruturaj Gaikwad are set to take centre stage against the Proteas,
