India’s T20I star Suryakumar Yadav has began his rehabilitation after sustaining an ankle injury during the IND vs SA 3rd T20I. The 34-year-old shared an Instagram story of him cycling on an exercise bike.
Suryakumar Yadav is set to miss the T20I series against Afghanistan starting from January 11. With Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav ruled out of the series, there have been doubts over who will take the leadership role.

Several reports have claimed Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are set to return for the T20I series after a gap of more than a year. The duo last played a T20I match in November 2022.
In case the veteran dup returns, Rohit Sharma will take over the captaincy role for the 3-match T20I series.
