Sneh Rana couldn’t do much with the bat in the IND vs AUS Women’s 1st ODI but has done her bit in the field. With the onus of giving the India women’s cricket team a great start, Renuka Singh came steaming in. However, it wasn’t a great swinging delivery that gave India their given wicket but a ‘flying’ Sneh Rana’.
India has already shown brilliance in the first innings of the match, with Jemimah Rodrigues and Pooja Vastrakar scoring 82 and 62 to take India from 134-5 to 282-8.
Now, when India needed a good start to put pressure on the Australian women’s team, Sneh Rana had produced magic in the field.
Fielding at point, Rana dove to her left and grabbed the ball while airborne. What makes the catch even more special is that the batter dismissed was India’s nemesis, Alyssa Healy, who has single-handedly defeated India on multiple occasions in the past.
