Notably, Hardik Pandya was not spotted at the airport, but he is expected to join Team India later today.

Shubman Gill has finally joined Team India squad ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023. The young opener was spotted at the Guwahati airport on Friday. The most noticeable thing was that Gill arrived in Assam along with England players.

Team India had already landed in north-eastern state of India on Thursday. Now with Shubman Gill joining in the Rohit Sharma & Co, it is expected that Rahul Dravid will play the full strength Team India vs England in the warm-up match in the ICC men’s ODI World Cup 2023.

At the airport today, Shubman Gill came out after Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Sam Curran, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes and other English players. Harry Brook, Jonny Bairstow were also spotted at the airport.

As the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 approaches at home, India has been in excellent form, and the hosts won’t settle for anything less than a third CWC title in their trophy cabinet now that its main players have recovered from injuries and are prepared to compete.

In the run-up to the World Cup, India has all the checkmarks in their favor. Due to a great group of batters that expertly blend experience with swagger, they have one of the strongest batting lineups in the game.

Eyes on Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill form one of the best opening combinations in international cricket today. They are followed by a potent middle order that consists of KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, all-rounders Shreyas Iyer and Hardik Pandya, as well as all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya. In addition to them, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav make up this top hitting trio.

Insidesport

The bowling team has recently displayed unearthly feats, and they are vying for a domestic championship with a wonderful blend of all bowling techniques. Bumrah is in charge of the speed assault, which also comprises Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, and Shardul Thakur.

One aspect of India’s World Cup campaign that will be intriguing to keep an eye on is how they decide to line-up — prioritize batting or support their strongest bunch of bowlers at the sacrifice of batting depth?

India will consider whether to go with further batting depth, even if it comes at a cost, given that several of their bowlers are not considered to be among the best tailenders currently available.
