On May 3, Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill approached Virat Kohli in the RCB dressing room. Notably, Gill was heading to meet his national teammate in the dressing room after a Gujarat Titans training session.

Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli last shared the field with Team India in January of this year during their three-match home T20I series against Afghanistan. Gill was chosen as one of the traveling reserves, but Kohli was named in India’s 15-man roster for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies next month.
