Shubman Gill stood tall as the rest of the Gujarat Titans batting order crumbled around him on Sunday. Playing at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Shubman rallied his side with a sensational show of timing. The 23-year-old looked in sublime touch hitting boundaries at will during the powerplay. He then stitched a partnership with Sai Sudharsan en route to his half-century.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad attack pulled things back but had no answers for Gill. He kept the scoreboard ticking, finding the vital boundary to keep his side in search of a huge score. He eventually reached his century in the 19th over, taking just 56 balls to get there.
