Team India’s Shreyas Iyer exacted revenge for teammate Ravindra Jadeja after he showed fielding brilliance to run out England skipper Ben Stokes on Day 4 of IND vs ENG 2nd Test at Vizag.
In the 53rd of England’s innings, Foakes took off for a quick single after inside edging to leg side. However, Iyer was stationed at short midwicket, grabbed the ball one-handed and hit a direct throw which caught Stokes short of his crease.
Iyer, who was dismissed after Stokes’ stunning catch in the second innings, was pumped and also mocked the England skipper by imitating latter’s ‘folded finger’ celebration.
Notably, Stokes had produced a similar effort to run-out Ravindra Jadeja in Hyderabad Test which turned the game towards the visitors.
