WATCH: Sarfaraz Khan’s father warns people of fake scam being run in his name for IPL & state selection

Naushad has given it all to make sure both of his sons represent India. While Sarfaraz has already made his father proud, Musheer is currently piling up runs in domestic cricket.

In what is becoming a growing concern in this digital world, Sarfaraz Khan’s father Naushad’s name is being used to scam up-and-coming cricketers. The former cricketer and coach went viral last month after his son Sarfaraz finally made his India debut and thanked his father for all the struggles he had gone through to help him get here.

Knowing that Naushad has produced two great cricketers (Musheer and Sarfaraz Khan), some opportunistic people have started to use his name to dupe cricketers. In a video, the father of the famed cricketer revealed how his name is being used to pull off scams, promising people selection as an IPL net bowler, in a state team, or at academies.

“Good morning, friends. Once again, I have come in front of you because my name (Naushad Khan) is being used by many people to create fake IDs on Facebook and Instagram. They are asking for money from kids, ensuring that they’ll become a net bowler in the IPL, get selected in the academy, or be on a state team. I urge you to not get involved in this and trust your hard work. I am not currently connected with any IPL team at this time. I am not going to coach right now. So, thank you very much for not getting involved in this,” Sarfaraz Khan’s father can be heard saying.
