As the Indian team gears up for the challenging Test series against South Africa, news has surfaced that cricket maestro Virat Kohli has temporarily returned home due to a family emergency. However, reliable sources from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) assure fans that Kohli will rejoin the squad well in time for the commencement of the first Test.
Earlier, the BCCI had announced the release of wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan from the Test series squad due to personal reasons. KS Bharat has been named as Kishan’s replacement for the upcoming two-match series.
In another development, India’s opening batter Ruturaj Gaikwad will be absent from the Test series due to a finger fracture sustained while attempting a catch during the second ODI against South Africa.
