It was a brilliant outing for Sameer Rizvi on his batting debut for Chennai Super Kings in the CSK vs GT clash in IPL 2024. Most importantly Rizvi’s family was overjoyed after the youngster’s batting exploits. His family members went on to claim that Sameer had promised his family members that he would begin his account with a six.
Sameer Rizvi kept the promise that he made to his family. The 20-year-old went on to begin his IPL 2024 with 2 bombastic sixes. He made his debut for RCB in the opening game but didn’t get a chance to bat. But against Gujarat Titans, the youngster got his chance to showcase his hard hitting prowess.
Sameer Rizvi slammed 14 runs from just 6 balls to exhibit a fine cameo. Credit also goes to former CSK skipper MS Dhoni who went on to send Rizvi ahead of himself.
During the IPL 2024 auction, Chennai Super Kings broke the bank for the youngster. The cricketing world was shocked when the 20-year-old joined the Yellow Army for a whopping price of 8.4 crores. Expectations are high from the youngster and it is highly likely that he will keep on delivering.
