The Mumbai lad got his much awaited Test Debut in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot. The youngster came to bat after Rohit Sharma’s dismissal. Sarfaraz wasted no time in settling in and hammered a 48 ball Test fifty. Thus becoming the joint second fastest fifty on Test debut.
Sarfaraz Khan fell victim to an unfortunate run out. Ravindra Jadeja ever since he moved on to the 90s, slowed down the tempo. On the other hand the youngster continued to hit shots in a flurry. Batting on 99, a poor call from Jadeja brought an end to Sarfaraz’s proceedings.
A wrong call from Jadeja costed Sarfaraz his wicket. Jadeja played a defensive shot off James Anderson and took a couple of steps forward. Jadeja called for a solitary single as Sarfaraz stepped out from his crease.
Midway Jadeja changed his mind as Sarfaraz has no way to return to his crease. A direct throw from Mark Wood does the trick. Rohit Sharma was livid in the dressing room as he throws away his cap in disgust.
