52 out of 63, playing incredibly well, hitting 8 boundaries and 1 six, but Rohit Sharma’s innings finally came to an end when it should not have. Currently trailing by more than 200 runs against New Zealand in the 1st test, India lost hitman to a Kiwi spinner Ajaz Patel. But what made it incredibly unfortunate for Sharma was how he got out; he was bowled, and the manner of his dismissal left fans in disbelief. Sharma attempted to defend a full, looping ball but did not execute it well, allowing the ball to hit the inner half of the bat and trickle towards the stumps. Since Sharma was not looking at the ball, he got out, and his lack of alertness sent him back to the pavilion.
