Team India skipper Rohit Sharma returned home to Mumbai with wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira on Monday. The Indian skipper was spotted along with his family at the Mumbai airport on arrival.
Notably, Rohit along with other senior players, took a break after India’s heartbreaking defeat in the Cricket World Cup final against Australia and didn’t take part in the 5-match IND vs AUS T20Is.
The Indian skipper stayed away from public eye after India’s WC final defeat but recently shared a picture on his Instagram story from his vacation with wife.
Rohit Sharma had a brilliant outing with the bat during the ODI World Cup. He led the team from front and ended the tournement as the 2nd highest run-scorer with 597 runs. The 36-year-old broke multiple records during 11-match campaign, including breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most centuries in ODI World Cup.
Notably, Rohit has also been rested for the upcoming T20I and ODI series against South Africa, starting on December 10.
The Indian captain will join the Test squad to lead Team India in 2-match Test series against the Proteas, starting on December 26 in Centurion.
