Indian skipper Rohit Sharma hilariously imitated Shreyas Iyer’s celebration after the latter smashes a hundred in the IND vs NZ Cricket World Cup match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The hilarious incident happened in the 48th over when Iyer brought up his century by taking a single on the second ball of Tim Southee’s over. Iyer took off his helmet and raised his bat towards the dressing room, and skipper Rohit Sharma also mimiced the batter’s celebration.

Meanwhile, Iyer slammed the fastest hundred in a knockout match. Earlier, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell smashed a hundred in just 40 balls, but his century came in the league phase. Coming to the World Cup semifinal, Iyer’s century helped India post a mammoth total of 397 in 50 overs.
Shreyas Iyer also joined the likes of Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid in the list of players with consecutive centuries in the World Cup for India. Indian skipper Rohit achieved the feat in 2019 when he scored three consecutive hundreds at the World Cup. On the other hand, current Indian coach Dravid slammed back-to-back centuries in the 1999 edition of the ICC event.
