Watch: Rohit Sharma & Co. land in Canberra in style for pink ball Test challenge

The Indian cricket team has stylishly arrived in Canberra, led by Rohit Sharma, for the second Test against Australia at the Adelaide Oval.

The Indian cricket team has stylishly arrived in Canberra, with captain Rohit Sharma rejoining to lead the squad in IND vs AUS 2nd Test. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video on their social media showing Team India’s journey from Perth to the Australian capital Canberra. The team, led by Rohit Sharma, arrived in Canberra from Perth, exuding a relaxed and laid-back vibe. Sporting their travel kits, the players looked both stylish and comfortable as they prepared for the second Test in Australia’s capital at the Adelaide Oval. This much-awaited Pink ball Test is set to begin on December 6.

India’s Pink ball test record

India holds a good record in Pink ball Tests, having emerged victorious in three out of four matches they have played. However, their only defeat in this format was against Australia in 2020, where India was infamously dismissed for their lowest ever Test score of 36, leading to an 8-wicket loss. At home, India has hosted and won three Pink ball Tests against Bangladesh, England, and Sri Lanka.

Coaching staff to lead the sessions without Gautam Gambhir

With head coach Gautam Gambhir unavailable, India’s support staff will be in charge of coaching duties during the two-day tour game in Canberra. This includes assistant coaches Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate, bowling coach Morne Morkel, and fielding coach T. Dilip. Rohit Sharma will resume his role as captain after missing the first Test, taking over from Jasprit Bumrah, who made history by becoming the first captain to lead India to a Test victory over Australia at the Optus Stadium.
