Indian skippers may change, but their ability to provide fans with entertainment won’t. MS Dhoni‘s cheeky commentary from behind the stumps, Virat Kohli dancing and egging the opposition, and now Rohit Sharma having fun despite being 0-1 down in the series.
With the India cricket team looking to level the series in Vizag, skipper Rohit Sharma found some levity in a series situation. Ben Stokes and Co. continued to pile on the pressure on Day 2 of the India vs England Test. Batting at 114/1, it was going as planned for the England cricket team. But then entered Jasprit Bumrah, and England were 159/5 in no time.
However, in between, Rohit Sharma decided to have some fun. After sending Joe Root back, Bumrah bowled a seething yorker that almost snuck past Jonny Bairstow’s defense. The Indian team appealed in unison, only to be struck down by umpire Marais Erasmus.
This is when Rohit Sharma decided to ask Erasmus for help. He asked the umpire, “Marais, what do you think?” Jokingly asking the umpire for help to review the decision or not.
