WATCH: Rishabh Pant starts running, batting as wk-batter gears up to make comeback in IPL 2024

In a major relief for all the Pant lovers out there, Pant on Monday put up a story on social media site Instagram. The video charts Pant's recovery progress.

It seems like Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant is finally just a step away from returning to the cricket field. The player from Uttarakhand, who had made himself an integral part of the Indian side before suffering a life-altering car accident in December 2022, is gearing up to make his comeback in IPL 2024. After missing more than a year of cricketing action, Pant is finally back on the field. On Monday, Pant put up an Instagram story which charted his recovery from the injury. In another video, Pant is seen facing fast bowlers in the nets.

Pant has had a tough time since suffering the car accident while he was on his way towards his home in Roorkee. Pant suffered multiple fractures and missed a lot of tournaments including IPL 2023, World Test Championship final, ODI World Cup 2023 and a host of other bilateral series.

However, in a major relief for all the Pant lovers out there, Pant on Monday put up a story on social media site Instagram. The video charts Pant’s recovery progress.

The video starts with Pant watching on crutches. However, the progression is there for all to see when Pant can be seen running on a ground towards the latter end of the video. The video also contains a lengthy motivating caption.

In another video uploaded on another social media site ‘X’, Pant is seen batting on the nets. In the video, Pant is seen facing some fast bowlers with ease. The twin videos give enough indication Pant will be fit and ready in time to lead Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024.
