Watch: Pakistan’s ‘Suryakumar Yadav Lite’ embarrasses himself while trying to imitate SKY’s iconic catch

The Pakistan player embarrasses himself while trying to impress by imitating India's Suryakumar Yadav's remarkable T20 World Cup catch.

Pakistan is infamous for their blunders in catching, but that doesn’t seem to stop them from making more. Pakistani fielders have gained a reputation for being captured in awkward moments. In a new viral video, a Pakistani player tries to recreate Suryakumar Yadav’s iconic catch from the T20 World Cup final. However, his attempt goes horribly wrong, leaving him embarrassed as he fails miserably.

Saim Ayub, a Pakistani cricketer who plays for Panthers Pakistan in the Champions One Day Cup, tried to pull off Suryakumar’s genius catch, but couldn’t execute.

Saim Ayub’s failed catch

Ayub attempt was a complete failure, and social media users rapidly shared the video of his embarrassing error. Muhammad Akhlaq hit a lofted shot off Usama Mir’s bowling in the eighteenth over of the Dolphins Pakistan innings. Ayub, who was positioned at long off, caught the ball well but, trying to copy Suryakumar’s move, flung it over the boundary ropes, giving up six runs.
