WATCH off-duty Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill share cute moments with young fans

Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli are not part of India tour of Ireland. Both players will next be seen Asia Cup

King and the Prince, aka Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill respectively were spotted with cute little fans. Often the young India opener is compared to the legendary cricketer due to his run-making abilities and match-winning skills. Also, during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season, Gill was on the verge of breaking Kohli’s 973 runs record in a single season of IPL, and now the duo melted the internet by spending time with adorable kids.

A video went viral wherein Gill was interacting with a little fan and playing with him. A lot of fans appreciated Gill for taking time out and making the little boy’s dream come true. Meanwhile, Kohli was spotted with a cute fan who was also donning the Indian jersey.

The former Indian captain posed with him and sent the internet into a frenzy. Both Gill and Kohli are currently enjoying a short break before they gear up for Asia Cup, set to commence on August 30.

Speaking about Gill, he had dismal returns to show during the all-format tour of the West Indies. The 22-year-old only scored two fifties in 10 innings in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. Gill’s dip in form just ahead of the Asia Cup and World Cup is clearly not a good sign for India, who aim to win two major trophies in two months. The Gujarat Titans (GT) opener would be keen to get back amongst runs in the Continental Cup.

On the other hand, Kohli has to hit the straps immediately after playing zero ball in the ODI series against West Indies. The right-hand batter featured in only the first ODI and was given rest in two ODIs as head coach Rahul Dravid wanted to experiment.

But during Asia Cup, there won’t be any scope for experimentation as Kohli is the key player in the middle order. India kick off Asia Cup by playing against Pakistan on September 2.
