Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) started their CPL 2024 campaign by defeating St. Kitts Patriots and Nevis on August 1 (Saturday). Thanks to blazing knock from Nicholas Pooran, TKR posted the 3rd highest score in CPL history. In the end, the Knight Riders won the game by 44 runs. WATCH:
Nicholas Pooran lights up CPL 2024
Nicholas Pooran came to the crease after TKR lost Jason Roy in the fourth over of the first innings. The Southpaw took no time to adjust as he scored 97 runs off just 43 deliveries, smashing 7 fours and nine maximums.
Pooran subsequently set up a monumental first-inning total for the Knight Riders by detonating a flurry of belligerent boundaries and towering sixes against the likes of Anrich Nortje, Dominic Drakes, Odean Smith and Tabraiz Shamsi.
