WATCH: MS Dhoni hits mammoth sixes in the nets ahead of IPL 2024

Dhoni is the most successful captain in the league's history, with five titles to his name. After playing through a knee injury last year, Dhoni will be looking to be back at his best this year.

The sixth IPL title is loading for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). With little less than two weeks left before their opening clash on March 22, MS Dhoni looks ready to take on the challenge of what might be his ‘last dance’. The CSK skipper has been spotted hitting cracking sixes in the nets, visualizing hitting the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowlers all over the park.

The prolific six-hitter has the fourth-most sixes in IPL history (239) and holds the record for the most sixes as captain. The wicketkeeper batter was spotted hitting his trademark down-the-ground sixes at Chepauk Stadium. Having played the last season with a plagued knee, MS Dhoni underwent knee surgery in June last year and will be playing his first match since.

Having won a record-tying 5th IPL title last year, the legendary skipper will look to add another trophy to his cabinet. Although he was not at the forefront with the bat last year, he shined brightly with his wicketkeeping and brilliant tactics. With what could be his last season, Dhoni will look to end his career on a high and find a new successor for the franchise that he’s led since 2008.
