Are we in 2024 or 2014? The way MS Dhoni is striking the ball, you could believe that he’s very much in his prime and didn’t retire nearly five years ago from international cricket. Coming in to bat with just four balls remaining in the first inning, the Chennai Super Kings wicketkeeper batter decided to enter beast mode.
MS Dhoni goes into God mode
Going against Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya, Dhoni dispatched the all-rounder. He smashed three consecutive sixes in the first three balls he faced to start things off. He smacked an 81-meter-long six over long off, then went over mid-wicket for a second maximum and followed it up by thrashing a full toss to the deep square leg boundary.
He also brought CSK’s 200 up, having entered the middle with the score reading 186 with just four balls left. At 42, many had doubted MS Dhoni‘s fitness, keeping in mind that he’d undergone knee surgery last year. However, he’s shown once again that he’s got it.
