The Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) has seen some high-octane matches, with players giving their all to propel their team towards victory. Tasmanian Tigers all-rounder Molly Strano became the latest sensation when she caught a miraculous one-handed catch off her own bowling in their match against South Australian Scorpions.
Molly Strano had an unforgettable match, taking the match ball home with a 5-wicket haul. However, it was not only the five wickets that grabbed the attention of Netizens. The 31-year-old showed immense agility to send batter Amanda-Jade Wellington back to the pavilion.

Strano, who bowls off-break, bowled a full-length ball which Wellington tried to drive. However, Strano had taken the pace off the ball and as a result, Wellington went through with the shot despite not reaching the pitch of the ball. The ball looped up in the air and was travelling towards the bowling end. Strano, reacting quickly, dived to her right and plucked the ball out of thin air with her right hand, as Tasmanian Tigers players gathered around her to congratulate.
Talking about the game, Tasmanian Tigers batted first and posted a formidable total of 274 in 50 overs, thanks to century from Nicola Carey. Carey scored 113 off 125 balls, hitting 11 boundaries. South Australian Scorpions couldn’t challenge the Tigers and fell short by 112 runs.
