Watch: Labuschagne gets distracted by “beer snake” on sidelines, unhappy Siraj hurls mouthful and ball

Mohammed Siraj was not happy with Labuschagne pulling away from his batting stance at the last moment

The tempers continue to flare up between India and Australia on Day 1 of the IND vs AUS Pink Ball Test in Adelaide. Marnus Labuschagne and Mohammed Siraj had a sweet exchange of words and after the batter was distracted by a person behind the sidescreen.

The incident took place during the third session of the day. Marnus Labuschagne was prepared and took his guard as Mohammed Siraj raced to the crease to bowl his delivery. But just before Siraj could bowl, Marnus moved away citing distraction. And it was indeed. A person just beside the side screen was spotted walking with a beer snake.

Siraj confronts Labuschagne

Mohammed Siraj was not at all happy with the event. In a fit of rage, he threw the ball toward the batter who had moved away from the stumps. A few abuses were hurled by the Indian speedster. But the batter remained firm on his decision. He was indeed distracted and couldn’t concentrate with the person walking all along the side screen with a series of cups.

As things stand, India is in desperate need of wickets. The visitors were bowled out for a mere score of 180 runs in the first innings as Mitchell Starc wreaked havoc and scalped a fifer. Coming to bowl, the Australians have stood firmly, losing just a solitary wicket.
