KL Rahul switches gear in IND vs AUS 2nd ODI, slams massive six to send ball out of the park

The captain guides the ship. Though Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer set the proceedings by both slamming individual tons, the skipper of the side KL Rahul did his part well. Back-to-back fifties in both games in IND vs AUS ODI series, the wicketkeeper has shown that he is ready for the World Cup. Out of his 3 sixes, he smacked a six so huge that the ball landed on the roof of the stadium.

While in the previous game, KL Rahul helped India chase down 277 runs, today however the dynamics were different. He along with Suryakumar Yadav went out aggressively against the Australian bowlers. A fifty of just 35 balls, KL Rahul scored 52 runs with 3 fours and 3 huge sixes to help India amass a huge total of 399 runs after the end of 50 overs.

In the 35th over of the match, KL Rahul switched gears and went all guns blazing against Australia’s Cameron Green. A length delivery by the Aussie all-rounder saw KL making room for himself and then smacking the ball out of the ground.

A huge hit over the deep mid-wicket region saw the ball taking the aerial route and then crash landing on the roof of the stadium, into one of the solar panels.

With back-to-back fifties against Australia, KL Rahul has proven his doubters wrong and is in fact ready for the mega tournament that is slated to begin from 5th October.
