WATCH: Kate Cross’ special message after joining RCB for WPL 2024

RCB purchased Kate Cross for INR 30 lakh at the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 auction in Mumbai on Saturday.

England pacer Kate Cross joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for INR 30 lakh at the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 auction in Mumbai on Saturday, (December 9). Kate Cross had gone unsold during the inaugural edition of the WPL. Later on, she then joined WPL as a commentator. However, She will now represent RCB in the upcoming edition. Cross also came up with an adoring message for the RCB fans as she starts a new journey in WPL.

In her international career, Kate Cross has scalped 11 wickets in 16 T20Is. She has also got 79 and 24 wickets in 59 ODIs and seven Tests, respectively. Apart from that, Cross has also played in The Hundred Women and in Women Big Bash League. To note, Cross scalped ten wickets in her last outing in The Hundred tournament. She represented Northern Superchargers for ten matches in the competition.

Meanwhile, RCB purchased seven players at WPL 2024 auction. RCB Women first purchased Australian leg-spinner Georgia Wareham for ₹40 lakh. Apart from Cross, the Red Army also went on to bag the likes of Ekta Bisht (INR 60 lakhs), S Meghana (INR 30 lakh), Simran Bahadur (INR 30 lakh) and Aussie spinner Sophie Molineux (INR 30 lakh).
