WATCH: Jitesh Sharma innings ends in a bizarre manner after strike takeover from Ravindra Jadeja

Jitesh Sharma managed to score just 4 off four deliveries before getting hit-wicket in the final over.

Youngster Jitesh Sharma got out hit-wicket during the IND vs SA 3rd T20I in Johannesburg on December 14. Playing as a wicketkeeper in the lower middle-order, Sharma got out in the final over of the innings after hitting a boundary in his short stay. Before getting dismissed, Jitesh Sharma also took over the strike from veteran Ravindra Jadeja but he could not do much with the opportunity.

Williams scalped Jitesh Sharma

Facing Lizaad Williams, Jitesh got deep in his crease to loft the ball over the inner circle. Fortunately, he did get the desired elevation over the mid-off but he stepped onto the stumps during the process and got hit-wicket.

Despite Jitesh’s dismissal, India got to a commendable total of 201/7, thanks to captain Suryakumar’s stunning century and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 60-run knock at the top.

Insidesport

It must be mentioned that the visitors are trailing 0-1 in the three-match T20I series. The Men in Blue need a win here to draw the series.
