It was a mixed feeling for Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who completed his century on Day 1 of the IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot on Thursday.
The star all-rounder did a subdued sword celebration following the unfortunate run-out of debutant Sarfaraz Khan, who was looking set for a century on his Test debut.
However, despite Jadeja’s muted celebration, England pacer James Anderson didn’t shy away from mocking the Indian batter and taunted him for doing his signature celebration.

Team India were cruising in the middle with Jadeja and young Sarfaraz taking on the visitors. The veteran all-rounder was on 99 when a wrong call from him ended Sarfaraz’s run in the middle.
Facing Anderson’s delivery, Jadeja attempted a quick single but then abruptly changed his mind and sent the young batter back. However, Wood made a direct hit which ended Sarfarz’s beautiful knock.
Moments after the run-out, Jadeja completed his fourth Test century. Visibly upset took out his sword celebration and was mocked by the Anderson who taunted him for running the debutant out.
