WATCH: Ishan Kishan leaves BCCI contract disappointment behind & bats in full flow ahead of IPL 2024

Kishan had joined the Mumbai Indians three days ago after beginning his practice for the event by playing the DY Patil Cup.

Ishan Kishan has found the perfect way to wash away the disappointment of not being given a BCCI central contract. Ahead of the IPL 2024 season, the star Mumbai Indians opener has decided to toil hard in the nets and prove his critics wrong come the new season.

Scheduled to play his first proper cricket match since November last year, the pocket rocket was seen hitting as cleanly as he ever has in the nets. Having suffered a major disappointment last month, the southpaw has decided to devote himself to the T20 cause with the IPL 2024 season and the T20 World Cup 2024 coming up.

What’s next for Ishan Kishan?

After being punished by the BCCI for his alleged preference for T20 and franchise cricket over domestic cricket, the 25-year-old will now look to impress the selectors with a stellar IPL 2024 season. After a couple of poor seasons, the couple roared back with an incredible 2023 season, where he scored over 400 runs while striking at over 140.

Coming from a long rest, the opener will be looking to do even better and look to take the Mumbai Indians under new skipper Hardik Pandya to a record 6th IPL title.
