Virat Kohli was the star of the show during India’s training session in New York prior to their T20 World Cup 2024 Group A opener against Ireland. On Monday night, India trained at the Nassau County Cricket Ground for nearly three hours. After batting for nearly forty minutes to acclimate to the New York conditions, Kohli appeared fluid in the nets.

Virat Kohli arrived in the city just the night before the practice match, so he was unable to play for India against Bangladesh on June 1 in New York. After Hardik Pandya’s blitzkrieg in the final overs and Rishabh Pant’s fifty, India won the match by 60 runs, with Kohli rested.
